Corporation for National Research Initiatives announces the availability of CNRI's Repository Software, which provides a long term persistent storage mechanism for digital objects of all kinds, and provides other information services. It has a uniform interface to facilitate digital object interactions from clients and amongst multiple repositories, thus enabling the interoperability of repositories over the Internet.

The CNRI Repository Software also provides distributed digital object services via an open architecture in the network environment.
